BT Retentions Team Deals
Today I have experienced two rival retentions teams bending over backwards not to lose a customer to Utility Warehouse. The companies in question were BT Retentions Team and EE Retentions Team. This brand new customer to UW, who is used to shopping extensively for a great deal, nearly cancelled everything before she was reminded what we offer.
Ask yourselves these questions:
- Why does it take a customer to leave before they are offered a better deal?
- Why are the BT Retentions Team so desperate to retain their customers?
- Why are the EE Retentions Team so desperate to retain their customers?
If a customer wants to leave UWDC they are free to go. We only want happy members who want to be members.
We don’t use these retention tactics and it’s why we are so richly endorsed by leading consumer magazine and moneywise and heavily anticipated to win gongs at the forthcoming European business awards.
Remember that we treat all our members the same and don’t have “full paying” members subsidising those who threaten to leave. It supports Charles Wigoder and Andrew Lindsay’s mission to be the the UK’s most trusted utility provider.
We offer best value and double the difference price promise but don’t sell ourselves as the cheapest. If we undercut all the competition we would probably sacrifice our award winning customer services team with cheap overseas call centres.
Focus on all the benefits and not just the prices. Most people don’t spend hours searching for the cheapest prices, and even if they do,are they going to be happy with the service they get?
Remember: Loyalty is expensive. If you are offered a BT Retentions Team Deal – You will be locked in. The world is changing and being locked in is not is your interest.
